Security Manager

Job Summary: Manage the Security Dept in conjunction with and at the direction of the Director of Security. To ensure a safe and secure environment through acute observations, maximum visibility, rapid response and enforcement. Essential Functions: •Provides protection for all guests, visitors and employees from physical harm or theft. •Patrol property. •Supervise the daily operations of the Security Department. •Interact with other departments within the company to ensure the security and safety of all staff and guests. Maintains relationships with local law enforcement and neighboring properties in a crime reduction effort. •Complete all appropriate documentation regarding violations or infractions witnessed by or reported to Security. •Protect and preserve all resort property from damage, vandalism and theft. •Maintain confidentiality and perform in a discreet and tactful manner at all times. •Provide rapid response and thorough investigation of all requests for assistance from guests or employees. •Follow all safety procedures. •Conduct coaching, counseling and disciplinary action. •Create and maintain proper scheduling of employees. •Recruit, interview, hire and train new employees. •Maintain a flexible work schedule. •Perform all other job requests as assigned by management. •Insure all properties are in compliance with OSHA, State and County Regulations. • Must have two years supervisory experience and three years security officer/law enforcement experience. • Must have effective oral and written English communication skills. • Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor during emergencies and agitated individuals.
